Ignas Vydeika

is a saxophonist, composer and a carillon player. He recently finished his bachelor studies in jazz saxophone in the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Arts. His compositional works include a variety of works created for various instruments. Few of his compositions include original works for carillon. His journey as a carillon player, started in Klaipėda. He took part in a course Klaipėda concert hall‘s organised course „Discover the carillon“ mentored by a former Klaipėda’s carillonist Stanislovas Žilevičius. Since then, Ignas has participated in many masterclasses and courses in Lithuania and abroad. He worked with well-known players as: Giedrius Kuprevičius, Monika Kaźmierczak, Boudewijn Zwart, Eddy Mariën, Koen van Assche.

Urtė Krutkevičiūtė

born in 2007, Lithuania, Klaipėda. Her interest in music formed from an early age, varying from piano studies, vocal lessons in choir and ensemble classes to the writing process of musical review articles and folklore music analysis.Urtė’s carillon journey started in 2022 Autumn when the first session of “Atrask Karilioną” (Discover the carillon) program began, together with her mentor Monika Kazmierczak. For Urtė, this program is the perfect place to broaden her musical horizons, find new, exciting instruments and incorporate her other artistic interests while making arrangement pieces. Currently she is a Bachelor’s student of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and its Music Production program, where she is able to learn both compositional and engineering skills in the musical realm. The carillon instrument is a tool that helps her keep and grow the love for music while also gaining musical theory and practical knowledge that correlates to her both artistic and technological studies. In this year’s festival weekend, she hopes to present how the instrument of carillon beautifully ties in with both electronics and with visual art, especially in terms of the theme – nature.

Artur Samul

a graduate of Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk in composition, solo singing and harpsichord. During his harpsichord studies he also learned to play carillon, and during workshops and by his own he learned to compose and arrange pieces for the carillon.
He is the composer of solo pieces and duets for carillon, as well as compositions and arrangements played on the hour by the carillon at Gdańsk’s Main Town Hall. His arrangement of Feliks Nowowiejski’s ‘Rota’ was selected in a competition and is played by the carillon at Gdańsk’s Main Town Hall every day at 12:00.

Zuzanna Podolak

a graduate of secondary music school in violin specialty and the Archdiocesan Institute of Sacred Music in Przemyśl.
She is currently studying psychology and church music.
She is a laureate of an M. K. Čiurlionis’s arrangement competition, which was held at the Academy of Music in Gdansk in November 2024. The arrangement selected in the competition, as well as other arrangements by her, are played on daily basis by the automatic carillon of the Main Town Hall in Gdansk.

Vilius Aleinikovas

began his musical journey at the age of five in Klaipėda, studying choral conducting at the Eduardas Balsys Gymnasium of Arts under Zita Kariniauskienė. Since 2021, he continued his education at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, where he studied orchestral and choral conducting under the guidance of Ricardas Šumila, chief conductor of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Professor Martynas Staškus. He graduated in 2025. Vilius is a laureate of several choral conducting competitions. In 2020, he won first prize in the youngest category at the 10th National Competition for Young Conductors. In 2021, he received second prize at the National Juozas Naujalis Young Choral Conductors’ Competition, dedicated to the memory of Petras Bingelis. In 2023, Vilius made his conducting debut with the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts Symphony Orchestra at the Palanga Kurhaus. This year, he was admitted to the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he will continue his orchestral conducting studies. During his time at the Čiurlionis School of Arts, Vilius also became a laureate of several national competitions in piano and solo singing. In addition to music, he has a long-standing interest in natural sciences and visual arts – he enjoys drawing and painting, frequently improvises on various musical instruments, and is passionate about instrument making and restoration.
