BOUDEWIJN ZWART
(1962) studied piano with Willem Brons at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam and carillon with Leen ’t Hart at the Dutch Carillon School in Amersfoort. He also took private organ lessons with Ben van Oosten and piano with Evelina Vorontsova. In 1990 he was first prize winner of the 'Queen Fabiola’ competition in Mechelen (Belgium). He is city-carillonneur of Amsterdam and plays besides 12 other carillons each week. He’s organist of the Reformed Church in Grootegast and works as pianist in chambermusik. Recently he published a Choral Book for organ with the 150 Genevan Psalms. Under the title 'Bell Moods’ he travels throughout Europe with his own designed travelling Concert Carillon and performs in collaboration with various music formations. Last but not least, he is happily married and the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren.
